MPPT sucks the exudate fluid away from the wound surface by means of capillary forces. Capillary forces only work when there is excess fluid present. Therefore, the suction stops automatically as soon as there is no longer any excess fluid present and, consequently, there will never be any suction effect exerted on the wound bed itself.
