Amicapsil treatment of pressure ulcer

Amicapsil was used for the treatment of a pressure ulcer in a paraplegic patient. The person had a 9-week old chronic pressure ulcer on buttock. Hydrogel, manuka honey and Flaminal Forte, respectively in combination with Durafibre had been tried, but the wound remained non-healing and slowly deteriorating, i.e. expanding. It was chosen to use Amicapsil for the treatment of the pressure ulcer.

Amicapsil was applied once daily for 3 days and initiated healing. From Day 0 to Day 6 there was over 90% reduction in the volume of the wound and the wound continued towards closure. There were no adverse reactions, including no signs of allergy.

Acapsil is an old name for Amicapsil.

Please see video above for the full story, showing how Amicapsil was used for the treatment of the chronic pressure ulcer.
