Amicapsil treatment of chronic grade 4 pressure ulcer

The pressure ulcer was detected and treated for 2 months with UrgoTul initially and later UrgoTul and Flaminal. The wound did not heal but deteriorated into a deep infected, necrotic grade 4 pressure ulcer.
Pressure ulcer at detection 7 weeks earlier.
Amicapsil was used for the treatment of a chronic grade 4 pressure ulcer in a person with a high cervical spinal cord injury, using a ventilator.
 
The pressure ulcer had been detected and treated for 2 months with UrgoTul initially and later UrgoTul and Flaminal. The wound did not heal but instead deteriorated into a deep infected, necrotic grade 4 pressure ulcer.
 
Amicapsil-SCI was used for the treatment for the now chronic grade 4 pressure ulcer. The extensive slough and exudate levels quickly reduced and the wound began to heal. After approx. two and a half months the wound had fully closed.

Day 129 after treatment has been stopped for several weeks and the wound remains closed, demonstrating stable closure.
